Wonderful Blue Herons look blue-grey from a distance, with a large black stripe more than the eye. In flight, the higher facet with the wing is two-toned: pale to the forewing and darker around the flight feathers. A pure white subspecies occurs in coastal southern Florida.<br />

Behavior<br />
<br />
Looking Great Blue Herons wade slowly or stand statue-like, stalking fish and also other prey in shallow water or open fields.
